The Winery at La Grange

Opened in 2006 as Prince William County's only established winery, the red brick three-and-a-half story La Grange manor house was built in the 1790s. Visitors can tour the completely refurbished manor house and new winery building and sample a variety of wines such as Viognier, Chardonnay, Meritage, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Norton, Claret, Pinot Grigio, Tannat and a Port-styled Snort. The winery hosts special events and is available to rent for private occasions.
Bull Run Mountains Conservancy
The most easterly chain in the Piedmont, the Bull Run Mountains, are part of an important greenbelt around the nation's capital and their preservation is vital because of their proximity to ever-increasing population and development. Bull Run Mountains Conservancy (BRMC) manages public access on the southern 800 acres of the 2,500-acre Bull Run Mountains State Natural Area Preserve. The oldest standing house in Prince William County, Virginia has undergone a four-year renovation and is now open to the public. The historic home, built circa 1747 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, sits on a scenic hilltop overlooking Neabsco Creek only about 30 miles from Washington, DC. George Washington and his family often stayed as a guest at Rippon Lodge.
