Baby Panda at the National Zoo

Mei Xiang, the female panda at the National Zoo gave birth to a baby panda on July 9th. The mother and cub seem to be doing well. The indoor area of the Panda Habitat will be closed for about 3 months to minimize disturbing the cub. Visitors can see Tian Tian, the male panda, when he is outdoors.
