Eyes Wide Open - Combat Boots Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC

The American Friends Service Committee memorial exhibition, Eyes Wide Open - The Human Cost of War returns to Washington, DC May 11-14, 2006, 10:00am to 6:00pm on the National Mall at 14th St. and Jefferson Dr. Combat boots that represent every U.S. military casualty in the Iraq war will be on display. There will be a daily reading of the names of U.S. military and Iraqi civilian casualties. On Saturday, against the backdrop of the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument, there will be a silent march featuring Iraq war veterans and families who lost loved ones in the war.
