Mount Vernon Celebrates Martha Washington's 275th Birthday

Mount Vernon celebrates the 275th birthday of our first First Lady on Friday, June 2, 2006 with "Martha Washington" greeting visitors to the estate. Mrs. Washington will share what life was like with George Washington. In recognition of her birthday, visitors named Martha or visitors born on June 2 will be admitted to Mount Vernon free-of-charge for the day.
