Eastern Market Update

Eastern Market will be open for business on August 25, 2007! Eastern Market was severely damaged by fire on Monday, April 30, 2007. The fire gutted the market's original South Hall, where vendors sell fresh meat, cheese, poultry and produce to residents and tourists. A temporary structure was built this summer to house Washington, DC's historic farmers market on the Hine Junior High School playground at Seventh Street and Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast. The local vendors really need your support, so if you are in the area, stop by and do some shopping.
