The National Park Service hosts the first-ever National Train Day with special events on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at a number of national parks across the country and at Amtrak stations in Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago and here in Washington, DC. The largest National Park Service presence will be at Union Station in Washington, DC, with park rangers and volunteers from the National Park Service Trails & Rails Program as well as rangers from Greater Washington National Parks.
