Justin Spring Wins Bronze Medal in Gymnastics

With two last minute injuries on the team, it was an unexpected surprise when the U.S. men's gymnastics team won the bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Olympian Justin Spring is from Burke, Virginia. He was an All-American from 2003-2006 at the University of Illinois and continues to train and work as an assistant coach in Illinois. This was just the fourth time a U.S. men's gymnastics team had ever earned a place on an Olympic podium. We should be proud to have a local athlete on the winning team.
