Turkish Festival in Washington, DC

The American-Turkish Association of Washington DC presents a day of family fun celebrating authentic Turkish art and culture at the Annual Turkish Festival on Sunday, October 4, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Freedom Plaza and on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between 13th and 14th Streets. The Turkish Festival includes a variety of live Turkish musical and folk dance performances offering a glimpse of Turkic life, culture, and art in the region. The Festival will also feature a Kids’ Tent with hands-on activities and a Culture and Tourism Tent highlighting a variety of interesting aspects of Turkey. Turkish food and arts and crafts will be for sale.
