We are planning a visit to the Shenandoah National Park and skyline drive during Thanks Giving time. We are getting mixed reviews about visit SNP and skyline drive during this time of the year. Do you think it is a good time to visit? Please help!

I can’t say from experience. I’ve never been there this time of year. However, I would think that it would not be crowded and could be a nice relaxing time. It really would depend on where you stay and what your expectations are. The weather can be nice enough to do some hiking, but other recreational activities would be more limited than during warmer months of the year. Luray Caverns is open. If you go, I’d love to hear back from you to learn more.
