DC Area Celebrates Car Free Day!

Monday September 21, 2009
On September 22, people from around the world celebrate Car Free Day, an international event in which people are encouraged to get around without their car. With gas prices at an all time high, Car Free Day is the perfect time to leave your car at home and try alternate ways to get around the region - by foot, bike, bus, or train.

Join DC’s Car Free Day Street Celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 7th & F Streets NW with live music, yoga classes, free t-shirts and giveaways, Segway demonstration and test rides and SmartBike sign up and test rides. Valet bike parking will be available as well as free bike tune-ups.
