I can't believe it passed. The Maryland Intercounty Connector (ICC) is set to be the most expensive toll road in the state. The Maryland Transportation Authority board approved the proposed toll rates for the ICC, the six-lane, 18.8-mile highway that is under construction between Gaithersburg and Laurel. The maximum one-way cost to travel the full length of the highway will be $6.15. There will be no toll booths. Tolls will be collected at highway speeds using EZPass. A notice of the toll amount due plus a $3 administration fee will be mailed to the registered owners of vehicles that do not have an E-ZPass. What do you think? Will you pay this much to drive on the new road?
