Megabus, an intercity express bus that currently offers service from Washington DC to New York City, will greatly expand daily service on Dec. 15, 2010 to include 10 new cities. Fares start as low as $1 and get higher as the traveling date gets closer. Washington residents can now travel to the following new destinations:
  • Boston, MA
  • Buffalo, NY
  • Charlotte, NC
  • Hampton, VA
  • Harrisburg, PA
  • Knoxville, TN
  • Pittsburgh, PA
  • Raleigh/Durham, NC
  • Richmond, VA
  • Toronto, CA
Megabus will offer multiple daily departures from its arrival and departure location in the parking lot on H St. NW opposite 10th St. NW. Washington DC. Customers may begin booking travel today at www.megabus.com for Dec. 15 and beyond. To celebrate this major service expansion, Megabus is offering 10,000 free seats for travel Dec. 15 through Jan. 15. The free seats will be available on departures to and from the 10 Washington expansion cities. Customers will need to use the promo code ILUVDC when booking their tickets. (subject to availability on select dates, routes).

This expansion is great news! Megabus offers a cheap and comfortable way to travel. With air travel becoming so expensive and stressful, it's great to have some other options.
