Did you know that lack of clean water is the second largest killer of children under five? How can you help? During the week of March 20 - 26, 2011 dozens of Washington, DC's finest restaurants will participate in the U.S. Fund for UNICEF's nationwide Tap Project. At these restaurants you can donate $1 for the tap water that you would normally get for free. See participating restaurants. Tap DC is also hosting a lavish gallery opening to display the "turn a glass of water into something beautiful" artwork with water inspired live music and visuals and a water bar of sorts where offering several Tap DC signature drinks. Guests will pay $5 for these drinks and all of the money will go towards UNICEF's efforts to provide clean drinking water for children around the world.
