Mount Vernon Estate By Bike and Boat

Bike and Roll Alexandria, the Potomac Riverboat Company and George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate are now offering the Mount Vernon by Bike and Boat package. This is a great way to enjoy some outdoor recreation and explore one of the region's top attractions.

You'll start the day at Bike and Roll in Old Town Alexandria where you will be fitted for a bike and provided with a lock, helmet, and trail map to navigate your way along the Mount Vernon Trail to the Mount Vernon Estate. When you arrive, you will lock your bikes and spend the day exploring George Washington's home, expansive grounds, and 25 galleries and theaters with interactive exhibits and hundreds of original artifacts. In the afternoon, you will board the Miss Christin for a narrated boat cruise back to Old Town. Mount Vernon by Bike and Boat is available from Tuesday - Sunday (weekends only Labor Day through the end of October). Advance reservations (at least 24 hours prior to departure) are required to receive the discounted price and can be made online at www.bikethesites.com.
