U.S. Open 2011 - Congressional Country Club, Bethesda, Maryland

The U.S. Open 2011 Championship will be held in the Washington DC area June 13 - 19, 2011. If you live or work in Montgomery County, Maryland, you should be aware that traffic will be challenging this week. After 14 years, the U.S. Open golf tournament, run by the United States Golf Association, returns to historic Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland. Gates will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. so be prepared to be patient when traveling around the area. Parking is limited at Congressional Country Club. Shuttle buses will provide transportation to the event from the Montgomery County Fairgrounds on Monday and Tuesday and in addition at Crown Farm (just south of the fairgrounds) on Wednesday through Sunday. Shuttle service will also be provided from the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro station on the Red Line.
