- Look Both Ways: Street Arts Across America - Through May 12, 2012. Various locations. The Kennedy Center hosts a performing arts festival featuring a variety of acts including a circus-punk marching band, political puppet theater, jugglers, contortionists, stunt dogs, and more.
- DC Design House Tours - Through May 13, 2012. Washington, DC's premiere residential design showcase features a home renovated by the region's top interior designers. Tours are available and raise funds for Children's National Medical Center.
- DC Shorts - Pasties and Popcorn - May 11-12, 2012. Atlas Performing Arts Center. 1333 H Street NE, Washington DC. DC Shorts presents a series of steamy films and sexy burlesque from their archives.
- DC Rollergirls Championship - May 12, 2012, DC Armory. East Capitol St. Washington DC. Defending champion Scare Force One takes on the Cherry Blossom Bombshells in the championship bout.
- DC101 Chili Cook-Off - May 12, 2012. RFK Stadium Festival Grounds. The event features an intense competition between 101 chili cooks in four categories: Red Chili, Green Chili, Freestyle, and Salsa. It raises money to support the National Kidney Foundation's programs in research, patient services, education and organ donation awareness.
