Outdoor Jump-roping Festival at National Harbor

As part of Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play, the National Children's Museum will host JumpOFF!, an annual outdoor jump-roping festival, at National Harbor in Prince George's County, MD on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, 12-4 p.m. The event will include:

• Performances by youth precision jump-roping teams, including the Greenbelt SITY Stars, Kangaroo Kids, Youth Sports Jump FX and Hoppin' Hawks
• "Make your own jump rope" activities
• Special appearances by the Washington Wizards/Washington Mystics street team, Popped! Republic food truck, Chidogo's and other community partners
• Live music by Bach 2 Rock

JumpOFF! will take place at American Way, between St. George Blvd. and Fleet St. just steps away from the National Children's Museum's new indoor space, which is set to open to the public this winter. Read more about the National Children's Museum.
