Re-Opening of Go Ape! Rock Creek Park

By October 10, 2012

After experiencing over $100,000 in damage from the June 2012 storm, Go Ape will re-open their location in Rockville, MD on October 13, 2012 with new features. The storm's high winds destroyed numerous trees in the park, including one of the six sites that make up Go Ape's adventure course. After clearing the trails and conducting numerous safety checks after the storm, Go Ape Rock Creek was able to open a partial course for the past month and a half at a reduced price. While the storm damage presented a challenge for Go Ape, it also provided the opportunity to rebuild the damaged site with improvements. As such, improvements include the first skateboard-zipline in the United States, a new 400-foot long zipline (bringing the course total to six) and several new difficult obstacles making the course more challenging.
