Tickets for the 2012 National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be distributed via an online lottery. The lottery is now closed. Tickets for the event are free and will include 3,000 seats and 14,000 standing room tickets. The lighting ceremony for the National Christmas Tree will be held on on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. on the Ellipse in Washington, DC.
