Our recent weird weather patterns have been good for the local ski areas, dropping unexpected early snow in the mountains. Snowshoe Ski Resort has just announced that they will open for skiing & snowboarding on November 21, 2012, the day before Thanksgiving. That is the earliest opening of the last 10 years! Snowshoe is the top ski resort in the Mid-Atlantic region. I am not a weather forecaster, but I've heard whispers that we are going to have a snowy winter this year.
