The National Children's Museum is opening on December 14, 2012 and will offer the following holiday programs:
Fun with Dry ICE - Dec. 5-6, 2012, 5-8 p.m. The National Children's Museum will host hands-on activities and experiments for people attending Gaylord National's ICE! Families can learn to mix dry ice and soap to make surprising bubble creations, explore how dry ice impacts sound and color and conduct other "cool" experiments. All activities will be located in the ICE! pre-show tent at National Harbor and a portion of the proceeds from the two nights will benefit the National Children's Museum.
- Noontime New Year's - Dec. 31, 2012, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The event will include a parade at noon led by some of the museum's favorite characters, as well as theatre performances and programs involving New Year's-themed crafts, e.g. hats, necklaces and noise-makers.
