HGTV has named Alexandria a "Top 10 Christmas Town." Old Town celebrates the holiday season with its Annual Scottish Walk Weekend November 30-December 1, 2012. Hundreds of Scottish clansmen with their bagpipes will gather for the traditional favorite Scottish Walk Parade on Saturday, December 1, at 11 a.m. Dozens of festively decorated pleasure boats light up the sky along the Potomac River at the Annual Holiday Boat Parade of Lights.
