"One Night with Janis Joplin" at Arena Stage was such a hit last fall that it is returning this summer for a second run from June 21-August 11, 2013. The show takes audiences on a musical journey into the life and inspirations of one of rock 'n' roll's greatest legends. The musical event includes more than a dozen singers and band members performing classic songs like "Piece of My Heart," "Summertime," "Mercedes Benz" and shines the spotlight on trailblazers who influenced Janis--like Bessie Smith, Etta James and Aretha Franklin.
