Embassy Row in Washington DC refers to a part of the city where many of the foreign embassies are located, along Massachusetts Avenue extending from Dupont Circle toward the National Cathedral. Washington, DC has more than 175 foreign embassies, residences, chanceries, and diplomatic missions. Less than half of the embassies of Washington DC are actually located along Embassy Row. About a dozen embassies are located along a four block stretch of New Hampshire Avenue off Dupont Circle. Another dozen embassies are located in a cluster closer to Connecticut Avenue.
