The National Mall encompasses a large geographical area extending from Constitution Avenue to the north, Independence Avenue to the south, 3rd Street to the east and 14th Street to the west. Directions From Maryland (Northwest of DC):
Follow the Capital Beltway/I-495 South
Take the George Washington Memorial Pkwy toward Washington
Exit onto I-395 North toward Washington
Take the 12th St exit
Merge onto 12th St SW
Turn right at Constitution Ave NW/US-1
The National Mall will be on the right

Directions From Maryland (Northeast of DC):
Follow I-295 South towards Washington
Exit at New York Ave NE/US-50 W
Turn left at 6th St NW/US-1
Turn right at Constitution Ave NW/US-1
The National Mall will be on the left

Directions From Virginia:
Take I - 495 South to 395 North towards Washington
Take the 12th Street Exit
Merge onto 12th Street
Turn right at Constitution Ave NW/US-1
The National Mall will be on the right
