West Potomac Park - Washington, DC

West Potomac Park is a national park in Washington DC adjacent to the National Mall, west of the Tidal Basin and the Washington Monument. Most people consider this area to be a part of the National Mall. It is the site of many national memorials, including the Vietnam, Korean, Lincoln, Jefferson, World War II, and FDR memorials. West Potomac Park has 1,678 cherry trees that blossom each spring and are the focal point of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Other attractions include Constitution Gardens, the Reflecting Pool and several sports and recreation fields.

Parking is very limited in West Potomac Park. The closest Metro stations are Smithsonian and Federal Triangle. See information about parking near the National Mall.
