Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia offers a full day of fun with more than 50 rides, seven roller coasters, live family entertainment and a 19-acre water park. Kings Dominion is known to have some of the best roller coasters in the east coast.
The amusement park is about a 2 hour drive from Washington, DC and because of its central location in Virginia, Kings Dominion is very crowded on the weekends. If you can plan to visit on a weekday, the lines are usually shorter.

Calendar and Operating Hours
Kings Dominion is open weekends from April 4, 2009 through Memorial Day and daily Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. The park is also open weekends from Labor Day through October. Kings Dominion opens at 10:30 a.m. everyday. Waterworks Water Park opens at noon, weather permitting May 23 – September 7. Closing times vary throughout the season.
