Bethesda’s annual Winter Wonderland is a community holiday celebration featuring a variety of entertainment and performances, a live ice sculpting presentation and a visit from Santa Claus. See photos and get a glimpse of the annual event.

Bethesda’s Winter Wonderland Schedule of Events

December 6-7, 2013

Friday, December 6 -  Kick off the season at 8 p.m. with a winter concert featuring professional choral groups at Imagination Stage, located at 4908 Auburn Avenue. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Featured groups include:

  • Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School Chamber Singers
  • The GW Troubadors, George Washington University’s co-ed a cappella group
  • Capital Blend, All-female a cappella group
  • Vox Pop, Mixed voice a cappella group

Saturday, December 7 - Celebrate the season at Bethesda's Winter Wonderland from 1 to 4 p.m. in Veterans Park, located at the corner of Woodmont and Norfolk Avenues. Blocks of ice will be transformed into wintery works of art before your eyes during the live ice sculpting presentation followed by choral performances from local school groups. Santa Claus will make a visit to the park that afternoon, and holiday treats will be provided to children. Performing groups include:

  • Academy of the Holy Cross
  • Garrett Park Elementary School
  • Norwood Middle School
  • Our Lady of Lourdes
  • Rockville High School
  • Seneca Valley High School
  • Westbrook Elementary
