Oatlands Historic House and Gardens is a 360-acre estate near Leesburg, Virginia, featuring a stately Greek revival mansion and a magnificent formal terraced garden. The 2013 celebration will focus on Christmas in the Roaring Twenties. During the holiday season, each room of the 1804 mansion will come alive with historic and handcrafted decorations including an abundance of greenery and beautifully decorated Christmas trees. During this annual holiday celebration, guests can also enjoy a number of special events at Oatlands, including holiday teas, an art show, children’s theater, candlelight tours, a wreath making workshop and a gingerbread house contest.

Tours of the Oatlands Mansion

November 18 through December 30, 2013. Guided tours will be given on the half-hour from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays and from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays. The last tour of each day is at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for children ages 6-16. Children 5 years old and younger are free. Oatlands will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The property closes for the winter season beginning December 31.


Oatlands is located six miles south of Leesburg, Virginia on US Rte. 15. From Washington, DC take the Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) west to exit 1A in Leesburg and follow signs for Route 15 south. Travel six miles south on Route 15 to Oatlands on the left.
