The official White House Christmas tree, the centerpiece of the Blue Room, is on display in Washington, DC. Honoring Blue Star families, the tree is a 18-foot 6-inch balsam fir decorated with framed military medals and handmade holiday cards created by military children living on installations around the world. The theme for 2012 is 'Joy to All.'
The White House is beautifully decorated for the holiday season each year. The following photos show decorations for this year and prior years.
