Silver Spring Free Summer Concerts 2009

Downtown Silver Spring comes alive with the sound of music at the annual Silver Spring Swings free summer concert series. The concerts feature a variety of musical styles – from swing, jazz and soul to Latin, rhythm and blues, and rock and roll.

The concerts will be held every Thursday evening at 7 p.m. from June 18 through August 6, 2009. The Balloon Clown and the Magical Face Painter begin entertaining at 6:30 p.m. Food is available at numerous restaurants on-site and nearby. Performances will be canceled in the event of rain.

Concert Location

Silver Plaza, on Ellsworth Drive between Georgia Avenue and Fenton Street in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland.

July 30 - Eddie Becker Band- Rock, Soul, R&B

August 6 - Verny Varela - Salsa
