Ellicott City, Maryland is a quaint historic town that is known for its old world charm, historic landmarks, and unique restaurants and shops. During the late 1700s, Ellicott's Mills was the largest flour milling center in the region. It was also home to the original terminus of the first 13 miles of commercial railroad in the country.
