National Harbor Outdoor Movies 2014

During the summer months National Harbor, Maryland, the waterfront development on the Potomac River, presents free classic movies on Sunday evenings on the Plaza’s big screen. Seating is not provided, so attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Coolers and outside food and beverages are not allowed. The 2014 season runs from Sunday, May 25th through Sunday, September 28th. Films begin at 6 p.m.

Parking: National Harbor has three public parking garages with convenient Pay-on-Foot machines. Rates begin at $2 for the first hour and reach a daily maximum of $10.
  • Fleet Garage: Entrance located on Fleet Street
  • Mariner Garage: Entrance located on Mariner Passage
  • St. George Garage: Entrance located on St. George Blvd

May 25 - Up (2009) Rated PG. Widower Carl ties a thousand balloons to his house and sets out his lifelong dream of visiting South America. Russell, a young wilderness scout unintentionally becomes a stowaway.

June 1 - Finding Nemo (2003) Rated PG. A clownfish sets out to find his kidnapped son after he is captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney, Australia.

June 8 - The Incredibles (2004) Rated PG. A family of uncover superheroes are forced to save the world.

June 15 - Father of the Bride (1991) Rated PG. George Banks’ 21 year old daughter is about to marry man from an upper class family. He must overcome the fact that his daughter is growing up.

June 22 - The Parent Trap (1998) Rated PG, Separated at birth, a pair of identical twins discover each other for the first time at a summer camp.

June 29 - The Princess Diaries (2001) Rated PG. Mia Thermopolis just found out that she is a princess and heir to the throne of Genovia.

July 6 - Freaky Friday (2003) Rated PG. A working mother and her teenage daughter switch bodies and are forced to adapt to each other’s lives.

July 13 - The Wizard of Oz (1939) Rated PG. Dorothy Gale is swept away to the Land of Oz by a tornado and goes on a journey to find a wizard who can help her return home.

July 20 - Willy Wonka (1971) Rated G. A poor boy receives a golden ticket and gets the opportunity to tour the most eccentric and wonderful candy factory.

July 27 - Annie (1982) Rated PG. Broadway musical based upon the story of orphan Annie who finds a family to take care of her.

August 3 - Singing in the Rain (1952) Not Rated. A silent film production company and cast try to make the difficult transition to sound.

August 10 - Goldfinger (1964) Rated PG. James Bond uncovers a smuggling plot to contaminate the Fort Knox gold reserve.

August 17 - From Russia with Love (1963) Not Rated.James Bond willingly falls into an assassination plot involving a naive Russian woman in order to retrieve a Soviet encryption device that was stolen by SPECTRE.

August 24 - Dr No! Dr. No (1962) Rated PG. James Bond takes on a case involving a missing colleague and the disruption of the American space program.

August 31 - You Only Live Once (1937) Not Rated. The public defender's secretary and an ex-convict get married and try to make a life together, but a series of disasters sends their lives spiraling out of control.

Sept 7 - Finding Neverland (2004) Rated PG. The semi-biographical film tells the story of playwright J. M. Barrie and his relationship with the family who inspired him to create Peter Pan.

Sept 14 - Peter Pan (1953) Not Rated. Wendy along with her brothers go on a journey to the magical land of Neverland with Peter Pan.

Sept 21 - Peter Pan (2003) Rated PG. The Darling family receive a visit from Peter Pan who takes them to Neverland.

Sept 28 - Hook (1991) Rated PG. After the evil Captain Hook kidnaps his children, an adult Peter Pan must return to Neverland and reclaim his youth in order to save them.
