The Alexandria Food & Wine Festival is an annual event that transforms the Carlyle District of Alexandria, Virginia into a lively showcase of local food and wine with a full day of entertainment including music, arts and craft exhibits and children activities. Attendees will be able to sample food and wine from a variety of local restaurants and Virginia’s wineries. Local restaurants will compete for the best appetizer, the best main course and the best dessert. Admission is free, however tickets are required to sample food and wine.

The festival is located just three blocks from the King Street Metro Station and four blocks from the Eisenhower Avenue Metro Station.

Food samples: $15 for 8 taste tickets until June 6. After June 6, the price is $20.
Wine Garden: $15 per person. After June 6, the price is $20.
Tickets can be purchased on-site on the day of the event. A portion of the festival proceeds will benefit Volunteer Alexandria,  a non-profit organization in the business of helping Alexandrians give back to the city with their whole heart, through volunteering.

Democracy Vineyard, Lake Anna Winery, Mattaponi Winery, Horton Winery, Unicorn Winery, Hilltop Berry Farm & Winery, North Mountain Vineyard & Winery, and The Williamsburg Winery. 

Participating Restaurants
Rustico, Sweet Fire Donna's Walker's Grille, Alexandria Cupcake, Las Tasca, Hilton Old Town, Rita's Italian Ice, Trademark, Wholefoods, Delia’s, Rice & Spice, San Antonio Bar & Grill, and Sinbad. 

Food Vendors
Olio Tasting Room, JD Gourmet, Scratch DC and Kerry Gold Butters & Cheese from Ireland 

Children’s Corner
This year’s children’s activities will include arts and crafts activities about the importance of recycling.  David Camero: IL Troubadour Macaroon will perform and offer a variety of other kid- friendly fun.

About Alexandria’s Carlyle Community

The Carlyle Community is undergoing rapid change, both demographically and economically. The Carlyle District is a 76.5 acre development in Old Town Alexandria that includes a complex of offices, hotels, including The Westin Alexandria and retail space. It is home to U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Federal Courthouse, as well as condo communities such as Carlyle Towers.  It is conveniently located across from the King Street Metro Station.
