Restaurant Weeks in Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia

Restaurant Weeks provide prix-fixe menus at reduced prices at fabulous restaurants across the country. They are becoming very popular and there are now several communities offering special promotions in the Washington DC Area. Here is a guide to the Restaurant Weeks in DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia. Please note that details to each event will be announced as soon as available. The dates and participating restaurants are usually announced about a month in advance. (Listed in order by date)

1. Washington, DC Restaurant Week

January and August. Twice a year, more than 200 of the Washington, DC area's finest restaurants offer 3-course meals at reduced prices. Some restaurants in the suburbs of Maryland and Northern Virginia participate as well. Many of the restaurants extend their promotions an additional week.

2. Alexandria Restaurant Week

January and August. More than 60 restaurants offer special menus and pricing to entice visitors to dine in Alexandria, Virginia, just five miles south of Washington, DC.

3. Bethesda Chevy Chase Restaurant Week

January and July/August. For one week, twice a year, more than 30 of Bethesda, Maryland's finest restaurants offer lunches for $15 and dinners for $30 for this special event. 

4. Howard County Restaurant Weeks

January and July/August. Howard County restaurants offer two weeks of promotions twice a year. Enjoy discounts at some of the best restaurants in Columbia, Ellicott City and other locations around the region.

5. College Park Restaurant Week

January and August. The event features a variety of three-course meals and other discounts at several of the city’s restaurants. With its timing just before University of Maryland students go back to school, this is a great time to check out some of the area’s prime restaurants.

6. Annapolis Restaurant Week

February and November. The week-long event in Annapolis, Maryland provides an opportunity for local residents and vacationers to treat themselves to great food at a reasonable price.

7. National Harbor Restaurant Week

February/March. National Harbor Restaurant Week offers prix fixe lunch for $20 and three-course dinner menus for $35. The waterfront destination on the Potomac River features a variety of cuisines including American, Chinese, Mexican, Seafood, and more.

8. Calvert County Restaurant Week

February/March. Special fixed-price menus are offered in the Southern Maryland community to highlight the area's best restaurants and encourage diners to enjoy a variety of cuisine.

9. Frederick Restaurant Week

March. The 7-day promotion features the unique and fine dining options available in the city of Frederick, Maryland and the surrounding area.

10. Thai Restaurant Week

April. Sponsored by the Royal Thai Embassy and Office of Agricultural Affairs, the event honors Songkran, the traditional Thai New Year. Throughout the week, diners in the Washington DC area will have an opportunity to taste distinctive dishes and receive discounts at participating restaurants.
