Voting in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia

In Washington, DC

If you can not get to the polls on Election Day, you may cast an absentee ballot in person at 441 4th St., NW #250 Monday through Saturday, from 8:30 am to 4:45 pm. The deadline for in person absentee voting is 4:45 pm November 3, 2008, the day before election day.

In Maryland

To vote by absentee ballot in Maryland you must fill out and return an Absentee Ballot Application. You can download an application from your County Board of Elections. You must mail your completed Absentee Ballot Application to your County Board of Elections and it must be received by 4:30 p.m. on October 28, 2008.

In Virginia

To vote by absentee ballot in Virginia you must fill out and return an Absentee Ballot Application. You can download an application from the State of Virginia. You must mail your completed Absentee Ballot Application and it must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the October 28, 2008. You may also complete a form in person at your local voter registration office and can vote at that time. The last day for In-person absentee voting is November 1, 2008.
