Post was a passionate art collector who assembled a superb collection of Russian art including paintings, furniture, Fabergé eggs, jewelry, glass and textiles. The 36-room Hillwood Museum also features an impressive collection of 18th-century French decorative arts including furnishings, tapestries and porcelain. The 25 acres of gardens include a circular rose garden; a formal French parterre, a large crescent-shaped lunar lawn; a traditional Japanese-style garden and waterfall and a greenhouse for orchids.
Hillwood Museum & Gardens offers a variety of programs throughout the year including lectures, garden walks, workshops, and musical and theatrical performances. Visit the Museum Shop and find a great selection of books, jewelry, stationery, and other gifts. The Museum Café offers a selection of salads and sandwiches. Afternoon tea is served from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Admission
Admission is an Estate Donation of: $12; $10 for visitors 65 and older; $7 for full-time college students; $5 for visitors age 6 to 18. Estate donation waived for visitors under age 6.Hillwood Museum & Gardens Hours and Tours
Hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and select evenings and Sundays. Hillwood is closed the month of January and on all national holidays except Veteran’s Day.Docent led tours and self-paced audio tours are available. Reservations are no longer required; they are available for the convenience of visitors.
