A Family New Year’s Eve Celebration in Annapolis, Maryland

New Year’s Annapolis is a family-oriented event based on the “First Night” concept that provides attendees with a fun-filled and safe environment for all ages to celebrate New Year's Eve. The alcohol free event offers window performances, interactive venues and live musical entertainment throughout the evening. At New Year's Annapolis participants can climb the Big Vanilla Rock Climbing Wall, watch an ice sculpting demonstration, or see exciting performances by Rob Levit (Jazz &Blues), Peter Brice (Irish), Clones of Funk (Funk), Annapolis Chorale, Annapolis Opera, Maryland Ballet Theatre, a special performances by the acclaimed children's band Milkshake, a performance by the four Battle of the Bands contest winners from the New Year's Eve event held last year, a karaoke competition sponsored by WNAV and much more.

Fireworks

New Year's Annapolis will feature two fireworks displays, the Verizon Family Plan Fireworks at 7:30 p.m. and the ARINC Fireworks at midnight, New Year's Annapolis will start off with a bang, as runner's take their mark at City Dock for the Last Run of the Year.

Admission

New Year's badges can be purchased online for $10 before December 26th, or $15 after. $2 of every ticket purchased online will go to a local charity of your choice. Badges will also be available for $15 on New Year's Eve in the Buck Distributing Drink Responsibly Tent.

Venues Participating in New Year's Annapolis

More than a dozen venues in historic Annapolis will participate in the festivities including: the City Dock, the City's Recreation Center, St. John's College, St. Mary's Church, St. Anne's, 1st Presbyterian Church, the Maryland State Teachers Association, City Hall, the Circuit Courthouse, Maryland Avenue Association, the Banneker-Douglass Museum. Parking

Park at the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium at Rowe Boulevard and Taylor Avenue. Take the FREE, continuously running shuttle bus from the stadium parking lot to Lawyer's Mall, located at State Circle. The last bus leaves the stadium at 11:00 p.m. From Lawyer's Mall. Annapolis Transit shuttles will circulate around the entire event downtown all evening. Return trips from Lawyers Mall to the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium stop at 12:45 a.m.
