Hours are Friday 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Not really a holiday craft show - but conveniently scheduled just before the holiday season. Sponsored by Crafts America, the show includes the wares of more than 180 artists including metal, leather, basketry, jewelry, ceramics, glass and more. Admission: $15 Adults, $13 Senior Citizens, Ages 12 and under free.
Capital Collection of Holiday Shops
November 20-22, 2009. Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, 2660 Woodley Road, NW Washington, DC. Annual holiday shopping event sponsored by the Junior League of Washington. More than 70 vendors gather at one spot to offer a variety of gift items while raising money for grants and volunteer efforts for local organizations.
Downtown DC Holiday Market
December 4 -23, 2009 Sidewalk on F Street between 7th and 9th in front of the National Portrait Gallery. Hours are noon-8 p.m. Enjoy a unique seasonal shopping marketplace in the Penn Quarter neighborhood of downtown Washington, DC. Find gift items by more than 180 exhibitors and artisans including fine art, crafts, jewelry, pottery, photography, clothing, prepared food and more. A wide range of live, local musicians and bands will entertain shoppers. Jazz, swing, blues, reggae, bluegrass, klezmer, a cappella, brass and more create a fun, energetic atmosphere.
Riverfront Holiday Market
December 15-18, 2009 Noon-6 p.m., open until 7 p.m. on Wednesday. 2nd and M Streets SE, Washington DC, adjacent to the future Canal Park, just one block from the Navy Yard Metro-NJ Avenue Exit. The craft show features 15 arts, crafts and gift items, hot food items, holiday garland, wreaths and trees from Ginko Gardens as well as a stage with live music. (202)543-3370.
