Hometown Holidays is Rockville, Maryland’s annual street festival celebrating Memorial Day. The three-day event features dozens of entertainers performing on seven stages, children's rides, teen activities, VisArts Fine Arts Festival, an environmental expo, the Taste of Rockville, the Annual Ride for Rockville Bicycle Tour, and the Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade.

This year's Memorial Day ceremony includes music by the Rockville Concert Band and Chorus, a wreath laying led by American Legion Post 86, and 21-gun salute and presentation of colors by American Legion Post 86 Color Guard. The Memorial Day Parade includes drill teams, marching bands, community groups, military units, and more. See Photos of the Parade

Location

Hometown Holidays is located in Rockville Town Center and is walking distance from the Rockville Metro Station.

Parking

Free parking is available at the jury parking lot at the corner of Jefferson and Monroe streets and the Metro parking lots. Parking garages are located at 255 Rockville Pike, 51 Monroe Place and on Fleet Street behind the Council Office Building.

Taste of Rockville

Participating restaurants include Ambrosia, Armand's, Bean Bag, Bob's Noodles, Buffalo Wild Wings, Carmen's, Cava/Sugo (Saturday only), Chef Geoff, Dawson's Market, Fresh Market, Happy Popping, Hilton Twinbrook Grille, La Tasca, Matchbox (Sunday only), Oro Pomodoro, Potomac Pizza, Rocklands, Seasons 52 and Spice Xing. Tickets for food will be $1.25 each, with most menu items costing between one and four tickets each.

Saturday, May 25, 1-10 p.m. Market Place, Taste of Rockville, Kids Activities, Live Entertainment.

Sunday, May 26, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Annual Ride for Rockville Bicycle Tour. Ride at your own pace through the neighborhoods of Rockville, Maryland. Choose from a 10-mile or a 25-mile route. Meet at the Rockville Town Center near Regal Cinemas. Ride For Rockville is fundraiser to benefit the Rockville Youth Recreation Fund and Rockville Bikeway Enhancement Fund which provide financial assistance and recreational opportunities for Rockville residents.
