Many Washington, DC area restaurants offer a Mothers Day brunch with all the trimmings. Here are some recommendations for great places to enjoy a nice meal with the whole family. Most places get pretty busy, so be sure to call ahead and make a reservation. Details will be updated each year, but please confirm specifics with the restaurant when making a reservation.

701 Restaurant - 701 Pennsylvania Ave. NW Washington, DC. (202) 393-0701. Mothers Day Brunch with live jazz and outdoor seating overlooking the Navy Memorial fountains. Three-course menu includes dishes such as Chilled Pea Soup with buttermilk ricotta and orange confit; Lump Crab with hearts of palm, mango and yuzu; Salmon with miso-cucumber, spring onion, and a pineapple-golden raisin sauce; Grilled Flat Iron Steak with crispy potato, watercress, red onion and blue cheese sabayon, as well asGrana Arso Spaghetti with morel mushrooms, ramp, egg 63 and parmesan. $50 per person. Valet parking is $8 per car.

1789 Restaurant - 1226 36th St NW Washington, DC (202) 965-1789. A la carte menu. First and second courses are included in the entrée price, ranging from $32-46, dessert is $10-14. Menu includes items such as Asparagus and Ramp Soup, Mixed Berry Strudel, Guanciale and Spring Pea Tartino, Morel and Lobster Quiche, Eggs Chesapeake and Challah French Toast.

2941 Restaurant - 2941 Fairview Park Drive Falls Church, VA (703) 270-1500. Savory spring-inspired menu highlights include: Salmon Tartare with Lemon Pepper Gelee, Herb Crackers and Sweet Shishito Peppers; Spring Bouquet with Radish, Asparagus, Avocado, Cherry Tomato, and White Balsamic Vinaigrette; Duck Ravioli with Tomato Compote, Parmesan Cheese, Ramps, and Fiddlehead Ferns; Squash Blossom Tempura with Grilled Baby Zucchini, Marinated Red Onion, Tomato Compote, Ramps and Fiddlehead Ferns; and a Pan Seared Halibut with Sweet Barley Mushroom Risotto, Cherry Tomato, and Yuzu Scallion Vinaigrette, to name a few Three-course prix fixe menu $65 per person, vegetarian menu $48 per person, children’s menu $25.

Alba Osteria - 425 I Street, NW, Washington DC. (202) 733-4454.  Bottomless brunch, $29.95 per person. Selection of breakfast pizzas, egg dishes, pancakes and meatballs along with four brunch cocktails.  Tempting plates include Fried Eggs and Meatballs,two fried eggs, tomato sauce, fried house made meatballs and fried potato; Buckwheat Ricotta Pancakes with lemon and blueberries; Egg White Frittata with spinach, mushrooms, onions, parmigiano reggiano served with a mixed green salad; Sausage Pizza with egg, provolone cheese and tomato sauce, as well as Monte Cristo, sautéed bread slices, egg, fontina cheese, Italian ham, fried eggs and fried potatoes.  Menu items will also be available a la carte with prices ranging from $8 to $14. Bottomless supply of featured cocktails.

Ambar - 523 8th Street, SE, Washington DC. (202) 813-3039. Unlimited small plates and free-flowing brunch cocktails, $35 per person. Bottomless Brunch must be ordered by the entire table. Menu features Balkan cuisine with dishes such as Fried Chicken Sandwich, almond & walnut crusted with spring mix and apple-wasabi slaw; Veal & Vegetable Soup with sour cream and fresh chives, Balkan Burger, beef & pork with cucumber yogurt, and roasted pepper cheese spread, the Salmon Omelet or Prosciutto Omelet, Roasted Mushroom Crepes, and much more.

Anglers Inn - 10801 MacArthur Blvd. Potomac, MD. (301) 365-2425. Three-course menu. Choose from first courses including House-Smoked Salmon with gribiche, micro arugula, and capers, or the Hudson Valley Foie Gras Torchon with poached black berries, candied pecans, and brioche. Entrée options include Caramelized New England Scallops with spring pea coulis, morels, asparagus, fiddlehead ferns, baby spinach, and bacon sherry vinaigrette; Braised Colorado Lamb Shoulder with pee wee potatoes, spring bean fricassee, roasted onions, baby artichokes, kalamata olives, green garlic, braised fennel, and baby zucchini, or Classic Eggs Benedict with American caviar, country potato hash paired with a sparkling mimosa. Dessert options include the Classic Crème Brûlée; Mixed Berries with sorbet, or Milk Chocolate Bomb with caramel ice cream. $75 per person.

Ardeo+Bardeo - 3311 Connecticut Ave. NW Washington, DC (202) 244-6750. Three-course Mother’s Day brunch, $39 per person, or $53 for bottomless Champagne or mimosas. Highlights include Pea Shoot “Carbonara” Salad with black garlic mousse, guanciale, shaved egg, pickled Vidalia, and a buttermilk-pecorino vinaigrette; Deviled Eggs with basil mousse and bacon jam; Bouchot Mussels with arugula pesto, pancetta and foie gras butter; Buttermilk Biscuit Sandwich with country ham, scrambled eggs, bacon jam and pimento cheese “whiz”; Grilled Steelhead Trout with truffled asparagus puree, white pea shoot, honey mushrooms and smoked roe, as well as “Granola” Salad, puffed faro, seasonal berries, dried apricots, basil and citrus yogurt.

Art and Soul - Liaison Capitol Hill, 415 New Jersey Ave. NW Washington, DC. (202) 393-7777. The menu is comprised of seasonally inspired dishes using locally sourced ingredients including dishes such as lamb, maple ham, omelets, fried chicken & waffles and more.

Bastille - 1201 N. Royal St. Alexandria, VA (703) 519-3776. Mothers Day Brunch three course prix-fixe. Entrees are an array of classic breakfast and main dish items including Eggs Benedict & Scottish smoked salmon, Crabcake & Egg Benedict, Steak & eggs, Housemade biscuits, Surf & Turf: Petit Grass-fed Angus Filet-Mignon & Crab cake, Pommes Macaire and spring vegetables, Atlantic Sea scallops, Moules a la crème Fraiche, Steamed Mussels , Half Amish chicken, Confit a la Sarladaise, Steak-frites, Risotto of organic Carnarolli rice with asparagus, goat cheese and arugula. $59 per person.

Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca - 1100 New York Ave. NW Washington, DC. (202) 216-9550. A three-course Italian brunch with a variety of options, $45 per person. Menu standouts include Aranchini Misti, rice fritters stuffed with pork ragu and provolone piccante and Frittata with spring garlic and leeks.  Next, guests can select their entrée from options such as L’Agnello, slow roasted lamb shoulder with faro, fava beans and Pecorino Zabaglione; Moleche, crispy Chesapeake soft shell crabs with fennel, radish, parsley and lemon garlic, as well as Gnocchi with ramp pesto, cherry tomatoes and ricotta salata.

Blue Duck Tavern - 1201 24th Street, NW Washington DC. (202) 419 6755. Brunch will be offered from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. , $95 per adult and $42 for children between 6 and 12, children under the age of five are complimentary.  The three-course, fixed-price menu begins with a choice of starters, including seasonal salads, meats, breads and cheeses, on display throughout the open kitchen.  Menu highlights include Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich with kale, lamb merguez sausage and a sunny side up egg; Duck Confit Hash with fried egg, green peas, chanterelles and romaine hearts; Baked Eggs & Shrimp with sofrito, baby spinach and shellfish sauce; Wood Oven Seared Scallops with green peas, bacon, spring onions and vermouth emulsion; Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef with horseradish sauce and natural jus and more.

Bombay Club - 815 Connecticut Ave. NW Washington, DC. (202) 659-3727. Three-course, prix fixe Mother’s Day menu,  $39 per person or with unlimited Champagne for $54 per person. Standout dishes include Crispy Kale Chat with date-tamarind chutney; Bhalla Papdi Chat, lentil dumplings with crispy puri, yogurt and spices; Bombay Sev Puri, crisp puri, avocado, mango, sprouts, onion and chutney; Chicken Pista Korma, pistachio, yogurt, mace and cardamom; Shrimp Chettinad, coconut, onion, curry leaves and star anise, as well as Mix Vegetable Roganjosh, onion, tomato, cinnamon and cardamom.

Central - 1001 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC (202) 626-0015. A special Brunch menu will include Granola Berry Greek Yogurt Parfait; Boudin Blanc with mashed potato and bordelaise sauce; Smoked Salmon plate with traditional garnishes; Michel’s Pancakes with blueberries, banana, and macadamia; Crème Brulee French Toast; Eggs Benedict with roasted fingerling potatoes; baked Eggs “Basquaise”, and sides of Virginia smoked bacon and pork or chicken sausages. For regular fans, Central’s popular Monday-Friday Lunch menu will be served in its entirety. Look for Michel’s Faux Gras; Gougeres (cheese puffs); the infamous Fried Chicken and Burgers; as well as Loup de Mer; and Hanger Steak au Poivre, to name a few.

City Tap House – 901 9th Street, NW, Washington DC. (202) 733-5333.  Celebrate Mother’s Day with a Grand Brunch Buffet, $40 per person. Two seatings available, 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.  Guests can anticipate three brunch stations, one hot, one cold, and one for dessert.  The menu includes Omelets to Order, Waffles, Bacon & Sausage; Breakfast Potatoes; Scrambled Eggs with cream cheese and chives; Carved, Turkey, Virginia Ham, and Roast Beef and Smoked Salmon, a decadent Chocolate Fountain and much more.

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar - 801 9th Street, Suite A, NW, Washington DC. (202) 408-1600. Unlimited Tapas, $26 per person, or a la carte menu items $5.50 to $12.  Standout items include the El Rey, banana, dulce de leche and peanut brittle sandwich served on buttered-toasted brioche bread; Tortilla en Cazuela, a cast iron frittata with calabaza squash, caramelized sweet onions, broccolini, provolone and Tetilla cheese; Mango-Avocado Salad with marinated Kent mangos, Hass avocados and arugula lettuce served with an orange vinaigrette, as well as theCeviche Mixto, lightly poached shrimp, Baja bay scallops and squid with fresh coconut water, chiles, citrus, Thai basil and cucumber salsa served with coconut chips. Bottomless morning cocktails can be added to the unlimited brunch for an additional $14 per person.

Darna Restaurant - 946 N. Jackson St., Arlington, VA. Buy your own entree and the Lebanese-inspired eatery will pick up the tab for mom’s on Mothers Day. Specialties range from the house charcoal grill or hard-to-find fare like Mansaf, lamb marinated in a creamy yogurt sauce.

El Centro D.F. - Two locations: 1819 14th Street, NW, Washington DC (202) 328-3131 and 1218 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Washington DC. (202) 333-4100.  All-you-can-eat authentic Mexican brunch this Mother’s Day.  $35 per person. Menu includes Shrimp Ceviche with habanero citrus sauce and pico de gallo; Fried Egg Divorciados smothered in red and green salsa with chorizo and black beans; Picadillo Empanadas with ground beef, carrots, peas, potatoes and Mexican cheese, as well as the Mexican “Benedict” with poached eggs, corn masa cake, black bean purée and canritas. The all-you-can-eat brunch menu must be ordered for the entire table, and all items are available a la carte priced between $4 and $16.  

Et Voila! - 5120 MacArthur Blvd, NW, Washington DC. (202) 237-2300. The classic Belgian French bistro will showcase festive holiday specials in addition to their regular brunch and dinner menus. Dishes include Oysters Rockefeller with DueS beer; Buratta with organic yellow beet carpaccio; Halibut served with ramp risotto and roasted green asparagus, or theGrilled Trout with crab custard and a corn and shitake mushroom beurre blanc.  Specials range from $15.75 to $29.75 each.  Featured bottomless cocktails are available for $12
