Restaurants Offering Specials for New Year's Eve

Looking for somewhere special to dine on New Years Eve in the Washington DC area? Many restaurants offer special menus and some include champagne toasts, party favors, dancing and entertainment. Be sure to check the menu and be aware of pre-fixed pricing before making a reservation. Prices mentioned here do not include tax or tip. Details are subject to change. Most venues require advance reservations.

In Washington DC

901 Restaurant & Bar - 901 9th St., NW. Washington, DC (202) 524-4433. Choice of four or five course menu. Both options include stone crab claw, seared scallop risotto, grilled beef medallion and pumpkin cheesecake. The four-course option ($55) offers two champagne glasses, while the five course option ($85) includes an intermezzo of yuzu gelee and a complementary champagne bottle.

Agora - 1527 17th Street, NW, Washington DC (202) 332-6767. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. guests can select dishes off the a la carte menu or enjoy a five-course, prix fixe New Year’s Eve offering. From 9 p.m. until closing, guests can enjoy exclusively the prix fixe menu, $85 person. Complimentary Champagne toast at Midnight, DJ playing Greek and Turkish music throughout the evening.

Ardeo - 3311 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington DC (202) 244-6750. Three-course menu featuring seasonal flavors, $65 per person. Valet parking is available after 6:30 p.m. for $8. A glass of Champagne will be provided at midnight.

Art and Soul - The Liaison Capitol Hill, 415 New Jersey Ave, NW Washington DC (202) 393-7777. The Mad Men-themed New Year's Eve celebration includes a special three-course dinner menu inspired by 1960's-era food with a modern, Southern twist. Guests will enjoy live music by the Jeremy Carlstedt Quartet, party favors and a complimentary champagne toast. For a more casual option, ArtBar will serve the New Year's Eve dinner menu a la carte until midnight, along with champagne, sparkling wine and cocktails until 2am. '60's garb is encouraged, but not required. Seating Options/Pricing: First Seating: 5:30 p.m. $75 per person, Second Seating: 7 p.m. $85 per person.

BLT Steak - 1625 I St. NW Washington, DC. (202) 689-8999. Choose from the a la carte or enjoy a three-course prix fixe menu for $60/person. A Champagne and Caviar cart will feature a selection of three different osetra and domestic caviars and six sparklers including vintage Dom Perignon and grower Champagnes which will range from $20-$80 by the glass.

Bandolero - 3241 M Street, NW Washington DC. (202) 625-4488. An all-inclusive "Mexican Cowboy Countdown" bash in Georgetown. The party will include passed hors d'oeuvres and stations, along with margaritas, cocktails, cava, beer and wine. Food service stops at midnight, but drinks will be flowing and a DJ will be spinning until 2 a.m. $150 per person, inclusive of food, beverages, tax and gratuity. Guests coming after the ball drops can enjoy all-inclusive cocktails, cava, beer and wine for $50.

Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca - 1100 New York Ave, NW Washington DC. (202) 216-9550. Two seatings and variety of pre-fixe options. A three-course menu will be available from 5:30 to 7 p.m. $50. During the second seating from 8 to 11 p.m. a four-course menu for $85 includes a Champagne toast at midnight.

Blue Duck Tavern - Park Hyatt, 24th at M Street NW, Washington, DC (202) 419-6755 Two seatings are available for dinner on New Year’s Eve. The first seating, available from 5:30 - 6:30 pm, will feature a three-course, a la carte menu priced at $75 per person or $145 with Robert Mondavi Reserve wines and Tattinger champagne pairing. A second seating, starting at 8:30 pm, will consist of a three-course, a la carte menu, with a champagne toast at midnight, priced at $110 per person or $175 with Robert Mondavi Reserve wines and Tattinger champagne pairing.

Boqueria - 1837 M St. NW @ 19th Street; 202-558-9545. 8:30pm-1:30am New Year’s Eve Party in homage to legendary Spanish film director, Pedro Almodóvar. The evening will feature porrón stations, specialty cocktails, costume photo booths, live DJ, screenings of Almodóvar films, and the Spanish tradition of doce uvas at midnight. Unlimited tapas, sangria, beer, and cava will also be offered. $150 (plus tax and gratuity); $125 for guests registered before December 10th.

Bourbon Steak - Four Seasons Hotel, 2800 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. Washington, DC. (202) 944-2026. The restaurant in Georgetown will offer two seatings for New Year’s Eve. From 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. a four-course menu for $90 per person and from 8:30 - 10:30 p.m. a six-course tasting menu for $175 per person with an additional $95 including wine pairings.

Café Bonaparte - 1522 Wisconsin Avenue NW Washington, DC. (202) 333-8830. 4-course tasting menu $65 with a complimentary glass of champagne. Dinner will be open for two seating’s, 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.

Café Dupont and Bar Dupont - The Dupont Circle Hotel, 1500 New Hampshire Ave Washington DC (202) 797-0169. 3-course dinner $55, $85 with wine pairings with midnight Champagne toast; 5-course dinner $85, $130 with wine pairings with midnight Champagne toast. New Year’s Party at Bar Dupont - Red carpet, snow machine, video mapping display, Times Square feeds, DJ, Champagne, specialty cocktails

Central - 1001 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC (202) 626-0015. Six-course prix fixe dinner menu $90, $150 with optional wine pairing. A la carte cuisine will be available. Live Music from the Laissez Foure All-Stars will ring in the night mixing New Orleans-style jazz with the big band and swing jazz sounds of the 30’s and 40’s.

Charlie Palmer Steak - 101 Constitution Avenue NW Washington, DC (202) 547-8100. Six-course New Year's Eve Dinner. $100; wine parings $45. A la carte menu available.

Commissary - 1443 P St NW Washington DC (202) 299-0018. 3 course meal $32 / add a bottle of wine $47 per person. In addition to the featured New Year's specials, guests are welcome to create their own prix fixe package by selecting a favorite appetizer, entree, and dessert from the full menu.

Cuba Libre - 801A 9th Street, NW Washington DC (202) 408-1600. Cuban feast with two seatings available. From 4-8:30 p.m. guests can select from the a la carte menu. Early guests receive reduced admission to the late night celebration. Reservations at 9 and 9:30 p.m. will feature a five-course menu at $95 per person. Champagne toast at Midnight. Late seating includes late night entertainment. Cuba Libre will also sell advance tickets for the “Late Night Latin” floorshow, and a special balloon drop and Champagne toast at Midnight. A Latin DJ will spin salsa, merengue, bachata, Latin house and tropical dance, accompanied by an exciting percussionist and professional Salsa dancers performing choreographed Latin dance routines at 11 p.m. Tickets for the late night bar celebration, which also include a cash bar, party hats and favors are available for $35 per person if purchased by December 26th. The price will increase after that date.

Dino - 3435 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington DC (202)686-2966. 5 course plus treats New Year's Eve Menu for $79, or $59 if you book from 4:30 'til 5:30 p.m. For the wine lover, there are two wine flights available: "Damned Good" for $49 and "OMFG" for $89.

Eatonville Restaurant - 2121 14th Street NW Washington, DC (202) 332-6432. Southern-inspired prix fixe dinner and live music by Tamara Wellons. Three-course dinner at 6:30 p.m., $39 per person. Four-course dinner at 9:30 p.m. for $59 per person, includes a complimentary glass of champagne, and party gear to ring in 2013.

El Centro - 1819 14th Street, NW, Washington DC. (202) 328-3131. Three dinner seatings with prix fixe New Year’s Eve menus. The first seating, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. $35 per person, the second seating runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. $45 per person, The third seating begins at 9:30 p.m., $65 per person which includes a glass of Champagne. Guests dining in the later seating will enjoy a DJ spinning today’s most popular music into the night. A la carte menu also available with prices from $9.95 to $26.95.

The Federalist - The Madison Hotel, 1177 15th Street NW Washington, DC (202) 587-2629. Ring in 2013 with a 4-course New Year's Eve prix fixe menu $95 per person and $40 additional with wine pairings.

Fiola - 601 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington DC (202) 628-2888. The modern Italian trattoria will offer a five-course tasting menu priced at $125 per person until 6:30 p.m., $175 per person after.

Graffiato - 707 6th St, NW Washington DC. (202) 289-3600. A five-course small plates chef's tasting will be prepared for each guest, including options from the a la carte menu and New Year's Eve specials like venison tartar, marinated salsify with lemon and trout roe and black truffle tagliatelle. A DJ will be spinning on the first floor pizza bar from 11:00pm - 2:00am, so guests can stay to watch the ball drop. $65 per person.

Grillfish - 1200 New Hampshire Ave. NW Washington DC (202) 331-7310. 3 course meal $48 / add a bottle of wine $64 per person, In addition to the featured New Year's specials, guests are welcome to create their own prix fixe package by selecting a favorite appetizer, entree, and dessert from the full menu.

J&G Steakhouse - W Hotel, 515 15th Street, NW Washington DC (202) 661-2440. Two seatings - the first seating, 5-6:30 p.m. will feature a 3-course prix fixe menu $55 per person, and $25 additional with wine pairings, and the second seating, 6:30-8:30 p.m. will unveil a 5-course tasting menu $125 per person and $55 additional with wine pairings.

Kellari Taverna - 1700 K Street, NW Washington, DC. (202) 535-5274. Four course menu, live music, DJ dancing and a midnight champagne toast. $85.00 per person. A la carte Menu available until 8:00 p.m.

LINCOLN Restaurant - 1110 Vermont Ave., NW Washington, DC A special Vegas-Style Blowout Celebration features one of DC’s favorite 10-piece bands, David Akers and The Epitome, culinary delights and a variety of package options to ring in 2013. Six-course dinner $140 per person, Premium Open Bar package $100. General Admission $70. Musical Entertainment and dancing begin at 10pm.

Logan Tavern - 1423 P St. NW Washington DC (202) 332-3710. 3 course meal $44 / add a bottle of wine $58 per person, In addition to the featured New Year's specials, guests are welcome to create their own prix fixe package by selecting a favorite appetizer, entree, and dessert from the full menu.

Masa 14 - 1825 14th Street, NW Washington DC. (202) 328-1414. Guests dining before 9 p.m. $50 prix fixe menu. The second seating is $70 per guest. The New Year’s Eve dinner menu is available a la carte at the downstairs bar with prices ranging between $7 and $16, and the rooftop deck will serve the regular a la carte dinner menu. A DJ will be spinning progressive house on the roofdeck beginning at 9 p.m. On the main level, another DJ will be spinning 80s, 90s and Top 40 beginning at 11 p.m.

Matchbox – Capitol Hill - 521 8th St. SE Washington DC (202) 548-0369. Pre-set menu $36.00 per person, featuring items like Lobster Salad, Prime Rib and a sneak peek of some of the doughnuts that will be featured at Ted’s BULLETIN on 14th street in early 2013, accompanied by 20 wine pairings.

Mayfair & Pine - 2218 Wisconsin Ave. NW Washington DC (202) 333-2090. Four-course prix fixe menu from $75 per person. Guest can enjoy savory selections such as Beef Wellington Nibbles and Lobster Bearnaise along with a complementary glass of Champagne to help toast the arrival of 2013.

Napoleon Bistro - 1874 Columbia Road NW Washington, DC (202) 299-9630. 4-course tasting menu $65, and two “after hours” parties, one in the upstairs bar and the other in their Champagne Lounge downstairs. A 3 hour premium open bar package will be offered for $100. The “Champagne Lounge” party, guests will pay $40 and enjoy a complimentary champagne toast.

Nick's Riverside Grill - Washington Harbour, 3050 K Street NW Washington DC (202) 944-4104. New Year’s Eve on the Potomac is an annual party on the Georgetown Waterfront hosted with Tony and Joe's Seafood Place. The event includes an assortment of seafood, hors d'oeuvres, drinks and live entertainment. The first 500 tickets are priced at $109, the next 500 are $119 and all other tickets are priced at $139.

The Oval Room - 800 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington DC. (202) 463-8700. A five course, prix fixe menu $85 per person or $125 with wine pairings. Valet parking is available for $8 per car.

Oyamel Cocina Mexicana - 401 7th St. NW Washington, DC (202) 628-1005. Mexican New Year’s Eve, from 5:30-8:45p.m., enjoy a four-course prix-fixe dinner for $59. From 9-11 p.m., a five-course pre-fixe menu is priced at $78 per person.

Proof - 775 G Street, NW, Washington DC (202) 737-7663. Four-course tasting menu, $95 per person. Regular dinner menu available also. All New Year’s Eve diners will receive a complimentary glass of champagne.

Rasika - 633 D Street, NW, (202) 637-1222. New Year’s Eve fare with two seatings available. A three-course menu priced at $55 will be available from 5:30-8 p.m. During the second seating from 8-10:30 p.m., a five-course menu for $80. Valet parking is available for $8.

Rasika West End - 1190 New Hampshire Avenue, NW, Washington DC. (202) 466-2500 New Year’s Eve menu with two seatings available. A three-course menu priced at $55 will be available from 5:30 to 8 p.m. During the second seating from 8 to 10:30 p.m. a four-course menu will be available $80 per person. Ring in the new year with a five-course tasting menu including highlights like Nantucket Bay scallop ceviche, beef loin with crispy marrow and olive oil pistachio financiers. Also available is a special "10 to Toast" list with 10 champagnes by the glass and "Gotta Wear Shades," the featured New Year's Eve cocktail made with sparkling wine, cherry bitters, shaved pear and a housemade orange sugar cube. $110 per person / $150 per person with beverage pairings.

Roof Terrace Restaurant - John F. Kennedy Center, 2700 F Street, NW Washington, DC. (202) 416-8555. Four-course dinner, complimentary glass of sparkling wine and live jazz music for $95 per person. Each patron will receive one free admission ticket to the Kennedy Center’s renowned New Year’s Eve Celebration in the Grand Foyer with the purchase of dinner. Seatings start at 5:00 p.m. Reservations are required.

Smith Commons - 1245 H Street NE Washington DC (202) 396-0038. Three-course dinner and dance party. $60 per person, complimentary hors d'oeuvres from 7-9 p.m. Complimentary Moet Imperial Champagne toast at midnight and live music and DJ entertainment until 3 a.m.

Sou'Wester - Mandarin Oriental Hotel, 1330 Maryland Ave, SW. Washington DC. (202) 787-6040. Dinner Seating 5:30-7:30 p.m. with a 3 course prix fixe menu $65 per person. Tabard Inn - Hotel Tabard Inn, 1739 N Street NW Washington DC. (202) 331-8528. Three course dinner, $75 per person which includes a glass of champagne and entrance to live music in Room 24 ~ Will Rast and his band! 10:30pm - 1am! $27 per child under 10.

Tel’Veh - 401 Massachusetts Avenue, NW. Washington DC. The Mediterranean wine bar will feature a five-course menu and a belly-dancer for lively entertainment. $75 per person, with the option of wine pairing for an additional $25. desserts.

Tuscana West - 1350 I St NW. Washington DC. (202) 289-8843. The Venetian Masquerade New Year’s Eve Celebration features a sumptuous four-course Venetian dinner with live piano accompaniment, champagne toast, and the option to party to the hottest International Dance music spun by one of DC’s top DJs. First Seating-5-7:30 p.m. $59, Second Seating-7:30 p.m.-3 a.m. $89, Just want to party-11 p.m.-3 a.m. $30.

Vinoteca - 1940 11th Street NW Washington, DC (202) 332-9463. A special 5-course menu with two seatings, at 6pm ($65/person) and 9pm ($85/person) with beverage pairings for $30 or sparkling wine pairings for $35. The popular neighborhood wine bar on U Street will host a New Year's Eve celebration with live entertainment, a tented outdoor plaza with craft NYE cocktails, a champagne room, and more. NYE Party packages $50 and $85 per person.

Zaytinya - 701 9th Street, NW. Washington DC (202) 638-0800. The lively New Year’s Eve celebration will feature party favors, belly dancer performances, midnight toast, and sweet treat bags. A la carte menu available from 4:30-7:15 p.m. At 8:15 p.m. guests will enjoy a five-course prix fixe menu priced at $65 per person or a six-course Chef’s Experience tasting menu for $80 a person. Both menus include a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.

Zengo - 781 7th Street, NW, Washington DC. The restaurant blends Latin-Asian styles and flavors. Two seatings, the first from 5 to 7 p.m. with a four-course menu $49 per guest, as well as an a la carte menu. The second seating, from 8 p.m. to close, offers a four-course menu, with a Champagne toast, $79 per person. The first level Lounge will be open throughout the evening, with no cover charge. A DJ will be spinning music beginning at 10 p.m.
