Looking for somewhere special to dine on New Years Eve in the Washington DC area? Many restaurants offer special menus and some include champagne toasts, party favors, dancing and entertainment. Be sure to check the menu and be aware of pre-fixed pricing before making a reservation. Prices mentioned here do not include tax or tip. Details are subject to change. Most venues require advance reservations.

In Washington DC

701 Restaurant - 701 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington DC. (202) 393-0701. Two seatings on New Year’s Eve.  The first is available at 5 p.m. featuring a seasonal a la carte menu.  A second seating, beginning at 8 p.m., will feature a four-course, prix fixe holiday menu, $100 per person along with a Champagne toast at Midnight. Live jazz music will play until Midnight to help ring in the New Year.  Valet parking is available for $8. 

1789 Restaurant -  1226 36th Street, NW. Washington DC.  (202) 965-1789. Ring in the new year dining in a historic three-story Federal period townhouse in Georgetown. The restaurant will offer a seasonal a la carte menu, as well as a New Year’s Eve Indulgence Tasting Menu. The five-course tasting menu is priced at $125 per person, with wine pairings $175 per person

Acadiana - 901 New York Avenue, NW, Washington DC. (202) 408-8848. The prix fixe menu highlights the flavors of a true New Orleans New Year. Guests will enjoy a special lagniappe to begin the meal, followed by a selection of appetizers and entrees, and finally a choice of desserts to end 2013 on a sweet note.

Agora - 1527 17th Street, NW, Washington DC. Enjoy signature Turkish and Greek cuisine this New Year’s Eve. Two seatings available, from 5 p.m. to close, guests can select dishes off the a la carte menu or enjoy a three-course, prix fixe New Year’s Eve offering.  Starting at 9 p.m., the prix fixe menu is offered exclusively. $75 per person or $110 with wine pairings. Revelers dining after 9 p.m. will receive a complimentary Champagne toast at Midnight. 

Alba Osteria - opening late December! 425 I St, NW, Washington DC. (202) 733-4454. Toast the New Year while enjoying a traditional a la carte Piemotese menu. The menu features a selection of salumi and formaggi, antipasti, house-made pastas (small and large portions), and Neapolitan pizza priced from $5 to $19 each.  Each guest will receive a complimentary glass of Prosecco at Midnight.

Ambar - 523 8th Street, SE, Washington DC. (202) 813-3039. Enjoy a special New Year’s Eve menu showcasing the best dishes throughout the Balkan Peninsula with a modern twist.  Ambar is offering two seatings, from 5- 9 p.m. includes a bread basket & kajmak bar followed by a choice of three items off the pre-selected menu priced at $45 per person (tax and gratuity not included).  The second seating, 9 p.m. to close, includes a bread basket & kajmak bar followed by a choice of three items off the tasting menu along with a Champagne toast at Midnight priced at $65 per person.

Ardeo+Bardeo - 3311 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington DC. (202) 244-6750. Two seatings, the first at 5 p.m. featuring a seasonal a la carte menu.  A second seating from 8-11 p.m. will feature a three-course, prix fixe holiday menu priced at $65 per person. A limited number of valet parking spaces are available after 6 p.m. for $8 per car.  

Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca - 1100 New York Ave, NW Washington DC. (202) 216-9550. Two seatings and variety of pre-fixe options. A three-course menu will be available from 5:30 to 7 p.m. $50. During the second seating from 8 to 11 p.m. a four-course menu for $85 includes a Champagne toast at midnight.

Blue Duck Tavern - Park Hyatt, 24th at M Street NW, Washington, DC (202) 419-6755 Two seatings are available for dinner on New Year’s Eve. The first seating, available from 5:30 - 6:30 pm, will feature a three-course, a la carte menu priced at $75 per person or $145 with Robert Mondavi Reserve wines and Tattinger champagne pairing. A second seating, starting at 8:30 pm, will consist of a three-course, a la carte menu, with a champagne toast at midnight, priced at $110 per person or $175 with Robert Mondavi Reserve wines and Tattinger champagne pairing.

BLT Steak - 1625 I Street NW Washington, DC  (202) 689-8999. Special three-course New Years Eve menu featuring uni, truffles and Japanese wagyu, $75  per person.  A champagne cart will be available with seven Champagnes and sparkling wines ranging from Dom Perignon to Moet Chandon Etoile. Prices range from $15 a glass to $30 a glass.

The Bombay Club - 815 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington DC. (202) 659-3727. Two seatings available.  The first seating, from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. will enjoy a three-course prix fixe menu priced at $50 per person. During the second seating, from 8-11 p.m., a five-course menu for $75 will be offered which includes a Champagne toast at Midnight.  Valet parking for $8. 

Boqueria - 1837 M St. NW @ 19th Street; 202-558-9545. Unlimited Tapas and Drinks. Early Seating: 6-9 p.m. $85 per person,  Late Seating: 9:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. $115 per person.

Bourbon Steak - Four Seasons Hotel, 2800 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. Washington, DC. (202) 944-2026. The restaurant in Georgetown will offer two seatings for New Year’s Eve. From 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. a four-course menu for $90 per person and from 8:30 - 10:30 p.m. a six-course tasting menu for $175 per person with an additional $95 including wine pairings.

Café Dupont1500 New Hampshire Avenue NW, Washington DC (202) 483-6000. A five course prix fixe menu is available for $85; $130 with wine pairings, and three course prix fixe menu is available for $55; $85 with wine pairings. Both menus come with a midnight champagne toast.

Ceiba - 701 14th Street NW, Washington DC. (202) 393-3983.  Ring in the New Year with a midnight Champagne toast and Chef's Tasting Menu, highlighting the flavors of Spain. Choose from an array of entrees, sides and desserts with vibrant regional delicacies such as the rare Perceves (goose neck) with Saffron Cream, Spanish Octopus, Whole Lobster, Shrimp and Paella for two.

Charlie Palmer Steak - 101 Constitution Avenue NW Washington, DC (202) 547-8100. Five-course New Year's Eve Dinner. $100; wine parings $55. A la carte menu available.

City Tap House - 901 9th Street, NW, Washington, DC (202) 733-5333. Check out DC’s newest beer centric restaurant.  From 5-10 p.m. prix fixe menu for $50 per person or $80 with beer or wine pairings. As a second option, ring in the New Year with late night beer and cocktails, including an open bar, live music and Champagne toast at Midnight.  $75 per person. Late night celebration is $50 for those having dinner.

Commissary - 1443 P St NW Washington DC (202) 299-0018. 3 course meal $34 add a bottle of wine $49 per person. In addition to the featured New Year's specials, guests are welcome to create their own prix fixe package by selecting a favorite appetizer, entree, and dessert from the full menu.

Cuba Libre - 801A 9th Street, NW Washington DC (202) 408-1600. Cuban feast with two seatings available. From 4-8 p.m. guests can select from the a la carte menu. Early guests receive reduced admission to the late night celebration. Reservations at 9 and 9:30 p.m. will feature a five-course menu at $95 per person. Champagne toast at Midnight. Late seating includes late night entertainment. Cuba Libre will also sell advance tickets for the “Late Night Latin” floorshow, and a special balloon drop and Champagne toast at Midnight. A Latin DJ will spin salsa, merengue, bachata, Latin house and tropical dance, accompanied by an exciting percussionist and professional Salsa dancers performing choreographed Latin dance routines at 11 p.m.

Daikaya - 705 6th Street NW, Washington DC. (202) 589-1600. Enjoy bountiful small plates with a Japanese twist on New Year’s Eve.  Two seating options. The first is from 5-8:30 p.m. $45 per person.  The second seating, from 9-11 p.m., $75 per person.   A DJ will be spinning from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. to help ring in the New Year. 

Dino - 3435 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington DC (202)686-2966. 5 course plus treats New Year's Eve Menu for $79, or $59 if you book from 4:30 'til 5:30 p.m. For the wine lover, there are two wine flights available: "Damned Good" for $49 and "OMFG" for $79.

Eatonville Restaurant - 2121 14th Street NW Washington, DC (202) 332-6432. Ring in 2014 with  at "Bourbon Street on 14th St." with Mardis Gras beads, Hurricanes & Hand Grenades, a DJ spinning your favorite upbeat jazzy tunes and a decadent New Orleans inspired menu. Three-course dinner at 6:30 p.m., $39 per person. Four-course dinner at 9:30 p.m. for $59 per person, includes a complimentary glass of champagne, and party gear to ring in 2014.

El Centro - two locations in Washington, DC.  1819 14th Street, NW and in Georgetown at 1218 Wisconsin Avenue, NW Before 9 p.m.,$45 pre fixe menu includes a traditional guacamole for the table appetizer, entrée & dessert; available all evening $65 pre fixe menu includes a choice of our signature guacamoles for the table appetizer, entrée, dessert and glass of champagne.

Et Voila! - 5120 McArthur Blvd NW Washington DC (202) 237-2300. The classic Belgian French bistro located in the heart of the Palisades neighborhood offers a specially crafted three-course New Year’s Eve menu, $79.95 per person.

Fiola - 601 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington DC (202) 628-2888. The modern Italian trattoria will offer a five-course tasting menu priced at $175 per person.

Firefly - 1310 New Hampshire Ave NW, Washington DC (202) 861-1310. A “no muss, no fuss” New Year’s Eve celebration Featuring an a la carte menu and elevated dining specials, a complimentary champagne toast and party favors for all.

Graffiato - 707 6th St, NW Washington DC. (202) 289-3600. A five-course small plates chef's tasting will be prepared for each guest, including options from the a la carte menu and New Year's Eve specials. like venison tartar, marinated salsify with lemon and trout roe and black truffle tagliatelle. From 5-7 p.m. $65 per person and 7:30-10 p.m. $75.

Grillfish - 1200 New Hampshire Ave. NW Washington DC (202) 331-7310. 3 course meal $49 / add a bottle of wine $65 per person, In addition to the featured New Year's specials, guests are welcome to create their own prix fixe package by selecting a favorite appetizer, entree, and dessert from the full menu.

The Heights - 3115 14th St NW Washington DC (202) 797-7227. 3 course meal $40 / add a bottle of wine $57 per person, In addition to the featured New Year's specials, guests are welcome to create their own prix fixe package by selecting a favorite appetizer, entree, and dessert from the full menu.

J&G Steakhouse - W Hotel, 515 15th Street, NW Washington DC (202) 661-2440. Two seatings - the first seating, 5:30-8 p.m. will feature a 3-course prix fixe menu $55 per person, and the second seating, after 8 p.m. will unveil a 5-course tasting menu $125 per person and $55 additional with wine pairings.

Jaleo - 480 7th Street, NW, Washington DC (202) 628-7949. From 5-7 p.m. in the dining room and bar, Jaleo will offer an a la carte menu featuring some of the most delectable Spanish dishes of the season. Then, from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., a second seating with unlimited tapas from the New Year’s Eve Tasting Menu will be offered at $90 per person. Following the Spanish New Year’s Eve tradition, guests will also receive 12 grapes for good luck.  A live DJ will play continuous music beginning at 10:30 p.m.

La Tasca – 722 7th Street NW Washington, DC (202) 347-9190. Two seatings:  between 5:30–7:30 p.m.  Enjoy unlimited tapas, party favors, and  a champagne toast.  $50 per person; between 8:30–10:30 p.m. enjoy unlimited tapas, a bottle of wine for every two guests, complimentary party favors, a midnight champagne toast, “Fin de Año” celebration and a live band or DJ. $95 per person.

Logan Tavern - 1423 P St. NW Washington DC (202) 332-3710. 3 course meal $45/ add a bottle of wine $60 per person, In addition to the featured New Year's specials, guests are welcome to create their own prix fixe package by selecting a favorite appetizer, entree, and dessert from the full menu.

Mansion on O Street - 2020 O Street N.W., Washington, DC Feast on caviar, steak, lobster and more as you ring in the New Year in style. Dinner guests are invited to explore over 100 rooms, 70 secret doors, 14 kitchens and 2 wine cellars when they visit. $95/person Online reservations required. Attend the New Year's Masquerade Ball after you dine: $200/per for dinner + party. Online reservations required.

Marcel's - 2401 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC. (202) 296-1166. The reknowned Belgian restaurant features a four-course New Year’s Eve Celebration dinner with two seatings, the first between 5:30-7:30pm - $125 - and the second 7:30pm or later - $225.

Mari Vanna DC - 1141 Connecticut Ave., NW, Washington, DC (202) 783-7777. The European hotspot is best known for it’s traditional Russian cuisine, served in a tea-party-meets-grandma’s-house atmosphere. This New Year’s Eve enjoy traditional dishes such as blinis, pirozhki, and beef stroganoff. $150 per person, including one complimentary 375ml bottle of champagne per diner. The in-house accordionist will be on-hand playing classics throughout the night, a DJ will spin at midnight.

Masa 14 - 1825 14th Street, NW Washington DC. (202) 328-1414. Guests dining before 9 p.m. $55 prix fixe menu. The second seating is $75 per guest. The New Year’s Eve dinner menu is available a la carte at the downstairs bar with prices ranging between $7 and $16, and the rooftop deck will serve the regular a la carte dinner menu. A DJ will be spinning progressive house on the roofdeck beginning at 9 p.m. On the main level, another DJ will be spinning 80s, 90s and Top 40 beginning at 11 p.m.

nopa Kitchen + Bar - 800 F Street, NW, Washington DC. (202) 347-4667.  Special holiday menu New Year’s Eve. Two seatings, the first at 5 p.m. featuring a seasonal a la carte menu.  A second seating, starting at 8 p.m., offers a three-course, prix fixe menu priced at $100 per person along with Champagne toast at Midnight. Valet parking is available for $10.  A DJ will be spinning to help ring in the New Year. 

Occidental Grill - 1475 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC (202) 783-1475. The historic iconic restaurant features a five-course holiday dinner $115 per person.

Old Ebbitt Grill – The restaurant will revive one of TV's greatest shows for a night on the high seas. The event is an all-inclusive bash in the Atrium featuring the music of Yacht Rock Schooner, food and drinks themed around Captain Stubing and his merry crew. Come dressed as your favorite crew member or one of the hundreds of special guests that sailed on the Love Boat. Tickets are $125.

The Oval Room - 800 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington DC. (202) 463-8700. A five course, prix fixe menu $85 per person or $125 with wine pairings. Valet parking is available for $8 per car.

Oyamel Cocina Mexicana - 401 7th St. NW Washington, DC (202) 628-1005. Mexican New Year’s Eve, five-course prix-fixe antojito menu, $78 per person.  Live music will usher in the New Year beginning at 10:30 p.m until 2 a.m. Guests will also be presented with a champagne toast at midnight.

Pearl Dive Oyster Palace - 1612 14th Street, NW, Washington, DC (202) 986-8778. In addition to the regular dinner menu, the restaurant will offer specials for New Years Eve. Entrée prices range from $14-30. Black Jack (the bar upstairs) will open at 5:00 p.m., with no cover charge, and DJ Marvin Lopez, also known as "The Clown Prince," will spin dance tunes all evening.

The Pig - 1320 14th Street, NW Washington, DC (202) 290-2821. 3 course meal $49 / add a bottle of wine $69 per person, In addition to the featured New Year's specials, guests are welcome to create their own prix fixe package by selecting a favorite appetizer, entree, and dessert from the full menu.

Rasika - 633 D Street, NW, (202) 637-1222. New Year’s Eve fare with two seatings available. A three-course menu priced at $55 will be available from 5:30-8 p.m. During the second seating from 8-10:30 p.m., a five-course menu for $85. Valet parking is available for $8.

Rasika West End - 1190 New Hampshire Avenue, NW, Washington DC. (202) 466-2500 New Year’s Eve menu with two seatings available. A three-course menu priced at $55 will be available from 5:30 to 8 p.m. During the second seating from 8 to 10:30 p.m. a four-course menu will be available $85 per person. Ristorante Piccolo - 1068 31st Street, NW  Washington , DC  (202) 342-7414. A four-course Italian dinner by candlelight, complete with a strolling violinist, complimentary party favors, and champagne toast at the stroke of midnight. Early seating: $59 per person (5pm-7pm) Late seating $69* per person (7pm—1am)

Ripple - 3417 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC (202) 244-7995. Ring in the new year with a four-course tasting menu 5:30-7:30 p.m. $70, or a five-course menu from 8-10 p.m. $95. Both seatings offer $40 beverage pairing.

Roof Terrace Restaurant - John F. Kennedy Center, 2700 F Street, NW Washington, DC. (202) 416-8555. Four-course dinner, complimentary glass of sparkling wine and live jazz music for $120 per person. Each patron will receive one free admission ticket to the Kennedy Center’s renowned New Year’s Eve Celebration in the Grand Foyer with the purchase of dinner. Seatings start at 5:00 p.m. Reservations are required.

Tuscana West - 1350 I St NW. Washington DC. (202) 289-8843. The Venetian Masquerade New Year’s Eve Celebration features a sumptuous four-course Venetian dinner with live piano accompaniment, champagne toast, and the option to party to the hottest International Dance music spun by one of DC’s top DJs. First Seating-5-7:30 p.m. $59, Second Seating-7:30 p.m.-3 a.m. $89, Just want to party-11 p.m.-3 a.m. $30.

Vinoteca - 1940 11th Street NW Washington, DC (202) 332-9463. A special 5-course menu with two seatings, at 6pm ($65/person) and 9pm ($75/person, $115 with wine pairings. The popular neighborhood wine bar on U Street will host a New Year's Eve celebration with live entertainment, a tented outdoor plaza with craft NYE cocktails, a champagne room, and more. NYE Party packages $50 and $75 per person.

Zaytinya - 701 9th Street, NW. Washington DC (202) 638-0800. The lively New Year’s Eve celebration will feature party favors and a DJ counting down to midnight and keeping guests energized and dancing into the New Year. There will be two seatings offered. Regular mezze menu with additional New Year’s Eve specials available from 4:30-7:45 p.m.  The second seating, from 8:45- 10 p.m. will offer two special chef’s menus- a five-course Zaytinya Classics prix-fixe menu,  $65 per person or a five-course Chef’s Experience tasting menu,  $85 per person.  Both menus include a complimentary glass of sparkling wine for midnight toasting.

Zengo - 781 7th Street, NW, Washington DC. The restaurant blends Latin-Asian styles and flavors. Two seatings, the first from 5 to 9 p.m. with a three-course menu $55 per guest, as well as an a la carte menu. The second seating, from 9 p.m. to close, offers a four-course menu, with a Champagne toast, $75 per person. The first level Lounge will be open throughout the evening, with no cover charge. A DJ will be spinning music beginning at 10 p.m.

Zentan - 1155 14th Street NW, Washington, DC (202) 379-4366. New Year’s Eve four-course menu designed with foodies in mind $75 per person. An a la carte sushi menu is also available.
