Menu items include dishes such as Pan Roasted Turbot with wild mushroom and oxtail ragout; Champagne Braised Maine Lobster with brussel sprouts, miitake mushrooms and butternut squash coulis and Grilled Dry Aged Sirloin, braised short rib, peppered parsnip puree and wilted greens.

Menu includes items such as Rose Petal Tempura with Honey and Rose Water and the Love Potion 2008, Oyster, Smoked Beets, Idiazabal Cheese and Raspberries and Foie Gras with Chocolate Covered Liquid Cherries, White Chocolate Dusted Scallops, and Vanilla Scented Potatoes and Pomegranate or Duck Breast in Cocoa-Salt Crust.

Dupont Grille 1500 New Hampshire Ave. NW (202) 483-6000. Twelve-course Lovers Tasting Menu, small plates for 2 - $120 per couple. Odyssey Cruise February 14-16, 2008. $131.90 per person, $112.90 (Friday only) Enjoy the romance of a dinner cruise along the Potomac River with Odyssey this Valentine's Day and see spectacular views of Washington DC's monuments. Includes a 4-course dinner, a glass of champagne, live entertainment and dancing.

Spirit of Washington February 14-16, 2008. $116.90 per person, $93.90 (Friday only). Wine and dine your valentine and enjoy a deluxe dinner buffet, live entertainment and beautiful views of the Potomac River.

Notti Bianche 824 New Hampshire Ave. NW (202) 298-8085. Three-course Italian feast $75 per person. Menu items include grilled quail served with creamy polenta, smashed grapes and foie gras sauce; lobster tortelloni served with crushed plum tomatoes, minced chilies and torn basil; caramelized malfatti served with roasted oyster mushrooms, mascarpone cream and herb breadcrumbs as well as rack of lamb served with pine nut crust, glazed baby vegetables and Greek yogurt.

Seven course "A tasting of Aphrodisiacs" menu, with choice of main course including Rack of Lamb for Two, Whole Almond Crusted Bronzini for Two, Red Pepper Crusted Filet Mignon, Grilled Black Tiger Prawns or Brioche Dusted Stuffed Artichoke. Glass of champagne included. Open at 5 p.m. and the last seating is at 10 p.m. The 5 p.m. seating is $95/per person, after 5 p.m. $125/per person. Wine pairings $45/per person.

Tapas choices include Jamón Ibérico, Ostras Con Aceitunas, Raw Oysters with Olives and Capers; Bogavante Con Pure de Coliflor y Caviar, Half A Maine Lobster with Cauliflower Puree and Caviar; Lomo de Buey con Pure de Patatas La Serena y Trugas Negras, Grilled Beef Petit Filet with La Serena Mashed Potatoes and Black Truffles. Save room for the Spanish treat Pastel Caliente de Chocolate con Sorbete de Frambuesa, Warm Chocolate Mousse Cake with Raspberry Sorbet. The full menu is available.

Spend a romantic evening in Old Town Alexandria on February 14th - dinner, walking along the river...and a tour of historic Gadsby's Tavern Museum. Costumed guides lead the way as you enjoy a sparkling drink and a sweet treat in the same spaces as patrons George Washington, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson did more than 200 years ago. Tour cost is $8 per person or $15 per couple. Tour times available between 6 and 10 pm and last 30 minutes. Reservations are encouraged but not required.
