Ocean City Events 2012

Ocean City hosts a wide range of events throughout the year. Here is the 2012 schedule:

May 3-6 - Springfest.
Inlet area. Ocean City kicks off the season with live entertainment, including local, regional and nationally known favorites. Arts & crafts and food.

May 6-20 - Ocean City Restaurant Week
Restaurants will offer special fixed-price, three-course dinner menus for just $30 and/or two-course menus for $20.

May 17-20 - Cruisin’ Ocean City
The annual car show features thousands of cars, including hot rods, customs, classics, street machines, muscle cars and more. Inlet parking lot.

June 2 – Ravens Roosts Annual Parade
The parade in honor of the Baltimore Ravens features players, cheerleaders, mascots, bands, floats and more. 19th St. and Baltimore Ave.

June 9-10 - OC Air Show
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds perform jet demonstrations, aerobatic maneuvers and close-formation flying.

June 9-10OC Car & Truck Show
The automotive event features hundreds of vehicles and live music. Ocean City Convention Center.

June 17-20 - Maryland State Firemen’s Convention
This event brings together Maryland’s bravest and finest firefighters.

June 16-17 - Art’s Alive
More than 100 artists will display and sell original work. Northside Park, 127th St.

July 4 - Fourth of July Fireworks and Concert
Celebrate Independence Day with concerts and fireworks in either uptown or downtown Ocean City. See the fireworks over the ocean at North Division St. and the beach, or over Assawoman Bay at Northside Park. Entertainment begins at 8 p.m. Fireworks displays start at 9:30 p.m.

Family Beach Olympics– North Division St. and beach

July 11-August 29 (Wednesdays)

August 6-10 - White Marlin Open
The world’s largest billfish tournament encompasses big fish and big prizes. Harbour Island, 14th St.

September 20-23 - Sunfest
The most popular beach festival on the East Coast and Ocean City’s ultimate endless summer event features four days of national and local entertainers, arts and crafts, and Maryland food favorites.

September 28-29 - Winefest
Wine tasting on the beach. Sample wineries from across the mid-Atlantic region, and dig into the sand for arts, crafts, entertainment, and food. Inlet area.

October 6 - Harbor Day at the Docks
The event includes educational exhibits, fish cleaning, seafood-cooking demonstrations, deep-sea fishing techniques and much more. West Ocean City commercial harbor area.

October 14-28 - Ocean City Restaurant Week

November 15-January 1 - Winterfest
Board the Winterfest Express (a transformed boardwalk tram) and explore the decorations and lights at Northside Park at 127th St.

November 23-25 - Holiday Shopper’s Fair
Kick off the holiday shopping season at this fair full of holiday goodies, including florals, jewelry, toys and more. Children’s activities and a special visit with Santa. Convention Center, 40th St.

December 1 - Christmas Parade
This parade is a yearly holiday tradition for many Ocean City visitors. Participants include high school bands, floats, marching units and of course, Santa Claus. North Ocean City.
