Wal-Mart Hiring Centers
Ongoing. Walmart will recruit potential employees for Wal-Mart stores under construction at H and 2nd Streets in NE Washington and on Georgia Avenue in NW Washington. The hiring centers are located at 900 2nd St. NE and 7818 Eastern Ave. NW and will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. Approximately 300 people will be hired for each store. Military Officers Association of America Career Fair
May 13, 2014, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mount Vernon Pl. NW Washington DC. The nation's largest and most influential association of military officers is hosting the largest D.C. military officer career fair. Job seekers have the opportunity to meet local, national and international employers including Lockheed Martin, Amazon, Bank of America, Marriott, National Security Agency, Peace Corps, National Science Foundation, Department of Veteran Affairs and many more. The event features several seminars and panels on transitioning to civilian employment including resume assistance, exploring entrepreneurship (RSVPs required; RSVP to AmandaB@moaa.org), LinkedIn guidance and professional imaging. The event is open to all military servicemembers and government employees – all ranks, active duty, retired, former servicemembers, National Guard/Reserve servicemembers and their spouses.
