Artomatic

Duke Ellington Jazz Festival

DanceAfrica
June 6-7, 2009. Dance Place in Washington, DC celebrates its annual festival of African dance and music.

Dupont-Kalorama Museum Walk
June 6-7, 2009. Visit eight museums near Dupont Circle featuring free admission and special activities for all ages.

Reston Town Center Taste of the Town
June 12-13, 2009, noon-10:30 p.m. Enjoy a variety of food from the region’s finest eateries, live music, activities and games. Admission and parking are free. Tastings start at $1.

Tour de Cure Bicycling Event for the American Diabetes Association

Silverdocs Film Festival
June 15-22, 2009. Film festival showing 100 free films, and special programs at the AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Alexandria Waterfront Festival
June 20-21, 2009. Oronoco Bay State Park in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. The event includes historic tall ship tours, live entertainment, arts & crafts exhibits and a children’s sea hunt adventure.

The Source Theater Festival
June 20-July 12, 2009. Source Theatre, 1835 14th Street, NW Washington, DC. See new works in theater, dance, music, visual art, film, puppetry, spoken word, poetry and hip-hop. Performances include eighteen 10-Minute Plays, four one act plays, eight “Mash-Ups,” Project 24/7, three staged readings and a one-of-a-kind opening night event.

AT & T National Golf Tournament
