Live Music for New Year’s Eve in Washington DC

Kennedy Center

Attend a performance of A Jazz New Year's Eve with superstar entertainer Patti Austin and a six-piece band playing the works of Duke Ellington or enjoy a classical concert featuring guest conductor Murry Sidlin, members of the National Symphony Orchestra, and guest guitarist Pepe Romero. Ring in the New Year following the performances with festive dancing and a countdown to 2012 in the Grand Foyer.

Blues Alley
1073 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Washington, DC (202) 337-4141. New Year's Eve with Monte Alexander and the Michael Bowie Band. There are two shows on New Year's Eve. The first show is at 8 p.m. and costs $100 per person. Price includes a three-course dinner, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages, tax and tip. The second show is at 10 p.m. and costs $150 per person. Price includes a three-course dinner, dessert, non-alcoholic beverages and champagne by the glass, plus hats, noisemakers, tax and tip.

The Hamilton - New Music Venue!
600 14th Street, NW Washington, DC (202) 787-1000. The Music Maker Blues Revue rings in the new year celebrating legendary musicians, rooted in traditional Southern Blues. Doors open at 7 p.m., the show will be 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Check out Washington's newest restaurant/live entertainment venue located just a few blocks from the White House.

9:30 Club

Black Cat
