Pierce Mill at Rock Creek Park

Peirce Mill was built in the 1820's, and operated commercially until 1897. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places. It has been recently restored and reopened in the fall of 2011. For the first time in more than 20 years, the mill turns and once again grinds grain. Peirce Mill and Peirce Barn are open on weekends from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The mill is located n Tilden Street NW, Washington DC, near the intersection of Beach Drive and Park Road.
