From Rachel Cooper, About.com

The National Museum of American History collects and presents artifacts that highlight the social, political, cultural and military history of America. After a two year and $85 million renovation, the museum has added spectacular new galleries to showcase the presentation of the original Star-Spangled Banner, the White House copy of President Lincoln's Gettsburg Address and much more. The following photos will give you a glimpse of some of the favorite artifacts at the National Museum of American History.
