Guide Review - Jaleo Restaurant Review
Jaleo offers an extensive menu of 60 different hot and cold tapas, small plates, reflecting the regional diversity of Spanish cuisine. Each dish is artistically presented. Some favorites include grilled bread layered with a paste of fresh tomatoes and topped with anchovies; Stuffed olives with anchovies and
roasted 'piquillo' peppers, Grilled beef loin with sweet peppers and 'Cabrales' sauce; Octopus with paprika and virgin olive oil; Mushroom tart served with roasted red-pepper sauce; and gazpacho. There is such variety that there is truly something for everyone.
For dinner, a selection of entrees is also available along with a variety of paella dishes that serve two to four. Spanish wines, sangrias, and sherries are available as well as a variety of desserts such as a classic Spanish custard dessert with ‘espuma’ of Catalan cream and oranges or Chocolate and hazelnut mousse torte.
Jaleo means “uproar, revelry, merry-making” in Spanish. The three restaurants are lively, each one is located in a bustling neighborhood that is popular for dining and shopping. The restaurants are inviting with huge picture windows, cathedral ceilings, and colorful Spanish paintings. Outdoor seating is available during the warmer months.
